“We are delighted to have picked up 44 points and to be there in second place,” full-back Maicon has mused to Roma Channel.
“We had a great match with the right attitude, for a great squad. The four goals are the result of the week’s work. We are looking game by game and now we have to think about Livorno next Saturday, which will be another tough game. We will have those suspended back with us, whilst we are still to recover the squad to full fitness, then we will see where we can get to in the end.
“I am satisfied with the first half of this season, after a year in which I almost never played. I am happy, as is the team.”
