Qatar have been assigned the 2020 World Cup finals, but FIFA warned it might have to be moved to winter in order to avoid the intense summer heat.

Coppa Italia winners Napoli go head-to-head with Scudetto holders Juventus tomorrow evening.

“Who would I take away from the Juve team? It’s tough as they are all talented, but maybe Gigi Buffon,” said Maggio.

“I feel in good shape and hope to help the team bring this trophy home. We know the fans really want this Super Cup.

“I saw the squad relaxed and concentrated in training over the last few days. We need respect for Juventus, but in one-off games we have often done very well.

“I haven’t played in many finals, so it’s an indescribable emotion for me.”

Maggio did participate in the 2012 Italian Super Cup, which saw Juventus win 4-2 in extra time and Napoli boycott the awards ceremony in protest at the referee.

“We turned over a new leaf and put that behind us. Now we want to give the fans this cup that has been missing for too long.”
