Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyonnais are reportedly in discussions with Milan over a possible transfer for USMNT midfielder Yunus Musah, according to reports on Saturday afternoon.

Lyon interest in Milan’s Musah

The French outfit, who have already spent in excess of €125m this summer, have begun talks with Milan with regards to Musah, but they have not yet tabled any formal offer, according to French outlet Footmercato

Lyon have not yet reached an agreement with Musah himself either, so discussions are still at a fairly early stage.

Musah only moved to San Siro last August, arriving from Valencia in a €20m deal. €18m of that package was paid up front, while the remaining €2m was attached to performance-related bonuses.

Footmercato estimate that Musah is currently valued in the region of €22m by his current employers in Milan.

Musah, who also spent time on Arsenal’s books as a youth player, turned out 30 times in Serie A last season, plus five appearances in the Champions League and another four in the Europa during his maiden campaign in Italy.

He also has an impressive 39 caps to his name for the United States national team, and has represented his nation at both the World Cup and at the most recent edition of the Copa America.
