Luiz Felipe’s agent Stefano Castagna denies that he has reached an agreement with Inter over a free transfer in the summer.

The Lazio defender sees his contract expire at the end of the season and doesn’t seem willing to sign a new deal at the Stadio Olimpico.

Multiple reports are suggesting that the 24-year-old could reunite with his former coach Simone Inzaghi at Inter, but the player’s agent Castagna denied such reports.

“It’s impossible,” he told Il Messaggero.

Luiz Felipe has played 20 games under Maurizio Sarri this term and the coach said last month that he hopes the 24-year-old will commit his future to the Biancocelesti by signing a new contract.

Born in Colina, Brazil, Luiz Felipe has an Italian passport as well and Roberto Mancini included him in the Azzurri squad for the get-around at Coverciano at the end of January.

Luiz Felipe played two games with the U23 Brazil national team but is still eligible to play for Italy.

  1. Luiz Felipe, like much of the defence, hasn’t been great this season for Lazio but it would be incredibly frustrating to lose him for free as he is the only central defender we can rely on for much longer. Contract negotiations always seem a struggle with Lotito and Tare and Luiz Felipe’s should have been sorted out in time to either finalise his future with us or for him to be made available for sale for a decent transfer fee rather than getting nothing for him. Acerbi has recently lost the respect of the Ultras and picked up a rare longish term injury, Radu is not really trusted in a two man central defence and Patric is only at a level to be used occasionally as cover at best.
