The former Barcelona B boss arrived at the Leonardo da Vinci airport this morning and was taken out through a back exit to avoid the throng of fans and media.
He travelled to the Trigoria training ground for a tour of the facilities that he will be taking over with four members of his staff.
They include assistant manager Ivan De La Pena, a former Lazio midfielder.
