Lazio announced Pedro’s new contract, but are running into problems with Luis Alberto, who sent a strong warning to the club via social media.

The Biancocelesti sold Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal for €40m, but are still not bringing in many real reinforcements, despite qualifying for the Champions League.

Even contract extensions are taking a very long time to get resolved, as today Pedro announced a new deal to remain in Rome.

However, despite assurances a deal was done weeks ago, there is still no sign of Luis Alberto putting pen to paper.

The Spanish midfielder expressed his frustration and irritation with a very clear message on Instagram Stories.

“There is a limit after which patience ceases to be a virtue.”

Luis Alberto’s current contract runs to June 2025 and the new deal was meant to be until June 2027, with an improved salary reflecting his recent performances.

It is hardly the first time that the 30-year-old has let loose during the pre-season training period, as last summer he initially didn’t turn up.
