Lazio beat Atalanta 2-0 on Wednesday evening to win the Coppa, and Luis Alberto revelled in his side’s achievement, while praising their opponents and calling out Juve.

“It’s doubly remarkable because Juve win everything in Italy and we’ve taken two trophies from them in the last two years,” the attacking midfielder told Onda Cero.

“Juve are very good, but we managed to snatch the Super Cup from them in the Final last year.

“Atalanta are a team I like because they play on the attack and play like brothers. They’re a united group who will go far.

“This time they didn’t win, but I’m happy! I hope they qualify for the Champions League.”

The 26-year-old’s contract with the Aquile does not expire until 2022, but he has been linked with a move back to Spain.

“I’ll go and celebrate with my teammates and then we’ll see in July,” he added.

“I’ll celebrate with my wife, two children, parents and friends who were at the stadium with me.”
