Parma captain Alessandro Lucarelli assures that they will play on Sunday against Torino, despite the club being declared bankrupt.

It was confirmed yesterday that the Ducali had been found to be insolvent by a court, but the Lega Serie A and FIGC already have a  deal in place to fund them until the end of the season.

That is of course dependent on the Tardini side fulfilling their fixtures, but after a meeting with administrators today, the club captain says that won’t be a problem.

“It was a positive meeting,” Lucarelli told Sky.

“Now we just have to find certain documents and decide what the next step will be. We’re waiting to get the money from the Lega, but there shouldn’t be any problems.

“We have positive feelings, we know we’re dealing with reliable and serious people. We’ll play on Sunday.

“We go into the rest of the season trying to isolate ourselves [from what is happening at the club] and meet challenges head-on.”
