Zidane, the son of Real Madrid coach Zizou, joined Rayo Vallejano as a free agent this past October.

The goalkeeper came through the Real Madrid academy, where he played with Achraf Hakimi, who signed with Inter last summer.

“We are on good terms, we arrived at Real Madrid together and we often speak. We are not just former teammates, we are good friends and I hope he wins the title,” Zidane told Sky Sport Italia.

“Maxime Lopez is another [good friend]. He plays for Sassuolo now and we played together when I was at Marseille.”

Is there any chance he can move to Serie A as his father did back in the ‘90s?

“I’ve always liked Italy and I like Serie A too, I’d like to play there one day,” the 22-year-old concluded.
