Chucky Lozano is celebrating as Napoli ‘enter the history books’ with a 4-2 victory over Ajax, securing their place in the Champions League Round of 16.

This was their fourth win out of four in the group, above all achieved with a total of 17 goals scored.

Only two sides had achieved that, Paris Saint-Germain in 2017-18 and Bayern Munich in 2021-22.

The previous record for an Italian side was Marcello Lippi’s Juventus on 14 in 1995-96.

“It was a great game, I think the whole team did a good job,” Lozano told Sky Sport Italia.

“I am very happy with the victory and my goal. We are all pleased to enter the history books. It was very difficult against a strong side like Ajax.

“We continue to work game after game to keep improving.”
