Claudio Lotito has challenged Lazio to keep going with “humility, sacrifice, determination and competitive fury” after they beat Juventus 3-1.

Lazio recorded their seventh straight win in Serie A on Sunday, and Lotito believes his style of presidency is helping them deliver results on the pitch.

“The team has a very good athletic and competitive condition,” he told Tiki Taka.

“They’re a compact group and I hope they maintain this profile. The matches are won with humility, sacrifice, determination and competitive fury. They were determined until the last kick.

“The wins are dealt with the same way as the defeat. If we lose, it’s also my fault, if we win, it’s with my contribution. The group is strong and cohesive, also the coaches and assistants.”

The season started a bit rough for Simone Inzaghi’s men, but the patron said he had no need to “intervene” too much.

“I intervene within the range of my rights and always agree with the coach to make the players responsible. There is no need now because they are doing well and have a positive attitude.

“Only the risks and problems must be highlighted.”

Lazio are now preparing to face Stade Rennais in the Europa League on Thursday but will only reach the last 16 if they win and already-qualified Celtic secure another three points against CFR Cluj.
