The Marcelo Bielsa saga takes another twist, as Lazio President Claudio Lotito says “we’ll see what happens”.

The club officially announced today that the former Marseille Coach’s contract has been deposited, and he’s expected in Rome on Saturday to replace Simone Inzaghi on the Biancocelesti bench.

However, in an interview with Radio 24, the Aquile patron appears to hint that the situation is perhaps not as defined as it appears.

“There is a statement in which it says that the contract has been deposited,” Lotito reiterated.

“We’ll see what happens.”

It had been reported in recent days that Bielsa had last-minute doubts about joining Lazio, but it appeared today’s statement had put the issue to bed.

While Lotito’s statement doesn’t contradict the official club position, it remains to be seen if Bielsa will arrive on Saturday as expected.
