Reports in the Italian Press last week suggested that the Brazilian playmaker could be on his way to San Siro this summer.
But the Biancocelesti chief has insisted he wants to add to the squad, not deplete it, whilst also commenting on Vladimir Petkovic's future.
“Hernanes to Milan? There has been no contact,” he told reporters. “Anyway, he is not on the market.
“We want to strengthen the squad, that's for sure. But that will depend on whether we can achieve our objective [of winning the Coppa Italia and qualifying for the Europa League].
“Petkovic's future has never been in doubt.”
