Il Messaggero has today reported that Lotito was overheard by journalists while speaking to colleagues after Salernitana’s Serie B match against Crotone yesterday.

“I signed Felipe Anderson for €8m and have already re-sold him for €60m,” Lotito reportedly said.

“Next year he’ll go to Manchester United.”

It remains to be seen how much truth there is in these statements, as the figure is significantly higher than the €48m United were believed to have offered previously.
