Lazio President Claudio Lotito insists confirmation Serie A can resume from June 20 is not his victory, but ‘a win for all of Italian football.’

Lotito had been one of the fiercest proponents for the campaign to get back on track after it was suspended on March 10, especially as his team sat just one point behind leaders Juventus.

“This is not a victory for Lotito, but for all Italian football,” the Lazio President told Adnkronos news agency.

“I am certain that with this restart, our football will be able to maintain the elevated quality standard that is recognised all over the world.
