Catania Pietro Lo Monaco confirms Maxi Lopez moving to Milan in January “would suit everybody.”

The Argentine striker has spent most of this season on the bench, as he does not fit into Coach Vincenzo Montella’s plans.

He is the favourite to join the Rossoneri as a replacement for Antonio Cassano, who needs six months to recover from heart surgery.

“I read the recent comments from Maxi Lopez, but if a journalist asks him if he would like to play for Milan, what else is he going to say?” noted general manager Lo Monaco.

“We are a small club. If Milan come calling, then Catania absolutely have to answer, just as the player must.

“I appreciated the words of Adriano Galliani, who showed interest towards Maxi Lopez.

“If Milan need a striker, then we are happy to sit round a table and find the best solution. For now there has only been mutual appreciation, as it is a solution that would suit everybody.”
