The Rossoneri have lost both to injury in the past few days, with the goalkeeper being handed a minimum two-week recovery on a hamstring injury sustained at the weekend and the midfielder set for a spell out having undergone surgery yesterday on a knee injury picked up in training.

The Corriere della Sera are running the line that both players are scheduled by the club for the same initial return date of October 19 and Milan’s Week 7 trip to Verona.

This is the first set of fixtures after that month’s international break and would hand both players a recovery period of one month.
