Soon after that, Bernardeschi charged down a Simone Padoin cross with his arm, but there was no penalty.

“I prefer to talk about football, because the images are clear for all to see. What more can I say?” shrugged the Coach on Mediaset Premium.

“I compliment my players on their performance, as they showed intensity, versatility and a great attitude. We had some problems when Paulo Dybala moved between the lines, but we did well to limit his influence.

“We raised the tempo towards half-time and created some clear-cut scoring opportunities. We’ve had some fine performances against bigger clubs recently and were solid with dangerous counter-attacks. If you just sit back and defend, you’ll never get the result.”
