Brescia are currently six points away from safety and Lopez looks to Balotelli to use his influence to shoot Le Rondinelle into safety.

“Mario has a great influence on the team,” Lopez told Sport890. “He is mature, and he knows what we are playing for.

“When I arrived, I immediately told my players that I have no intentions of controlling what they are doing off the pitch.

“Everyone must take responsibility.”

Next up for Brescia is a tough trip to Turin on Sunday, when they play Juventus at the Allianz Stadium.
