“We can’t just sit back and wait for Juventus, because we are in Serie A and it is our duty to attack them. This has to be our Champions League, our World Cup,” said Longo in a Press conference.

“I don’t want excuses, we’ve got to become a team and unite in times of difficulty, not get broken apart. The fundamental thing is to stay in the game.”

It has been a rough start to the season for Frosinone, who were hammered 4-0 by Atalanta and 5-0 by Sampdoria, so welcoming a fired up Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t reassuring.

“It’s a difficult moment, but we mustn’t feel sorry for ourselves. We have to leave the negatives behind us and find a positive moment to spark some self-esteem. We did really well against Samp for 25 minutes, but should’ve attacked with more men and been more daring.

“It’s a pity Cristiano Ronaldo was sent off in the Champions League against Valencia, because now he’s well-rested and furious!

“I still have to choose my starting XI for tomorrow. It’s tough, as Juventus can play with 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3, moving around to give you no reference points.

“I want to see my team fight it out with everyone, no matter who they are. What irritated me the most against Sampdoria was the lack of a reaction after going 2-0 down. We just folded and if we are to secure safety, we need to do more, fighting on every ball.

“I had a similar situation at Pro Vercelli in Serie B two seasons ago, so I know what it takes to scrap for each precious point. I will make some changes, as right now we require more experience and more physically imposing players.”

Frosinone squad for Juventus: Sportiello, Bardi, Iacobucci; Ariaudo, Salamon, Krajnc, Molinaro, Brighenti, Goldaniga, Beghetto, Capuano, Zampano, Ghiglione; Maiello, Cassata, Crisetig, Chibsah, Hallfredsson; Ciofani, Campbell, Pinamonti, Ciano, Soddimo, Perica
