Ruben Loftus-Cheek has arrived in Italy, where he will undergo a medical with Milan tomorrow for the €21m transfer from Chelsea.

The 27-year-old England international landed at the airport in Milan late this evening.

The two clubs agreed on a deal worth circa €21m with various bonuses and add-ons.

Not only is this the first time Loftus-Cheek has had a professional experience abroad, it is also his first club outside of London.

The Chelsea academy product only ever had loans at Crystal Palace and Fulham, so didn’t even need to move house.

He had 33 competitive appearances for Chelsea this season, contributing two assists.

His contract was due to expire in June 2024, but the Stamford Bridge side also had an option to extend for another year.

Loftus-Cheek will join up with fellow Englishman Fikayo Tomori at San Siro.

This is not the only done deal for Milan today, as it is reported they have also agreed a five-year contract with Luka Romero, who is a free agent after leaving Lazio.
