Last night’s 2-0 result ended their run of victories and left them 15 points adrift of the top four.

“It was a difficult match with Atalanta, as we did well in the first half, but made two costly errors after the break,” Lobotka told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“We tried to create chances after the goals, but Atalanta defended well. It’s difficult now to make up the 15-point gap, especially as Atalanta have the lead in the head-to-head record. There aren’t many opportunities, but we still believe we can take fourth place.

“The coach told us to stay concentrated for the next games, to always give our best in every match until the end of the season. We’re ready to give our best against Roma this weekend and avoid the same mistakes we made yesterday.”

Napoli are also still in the Champions League for this season, after a 1-1 first leg Round of 16 draw with Barcelona, with the return fixture in August.

“I believe we can beat Barcelona,” continued Lobotka. “If we play the quality football we’ve shown lately, we can eliminate the Blaugrana.”
