Inter are reportedly working on a new deal with their midfield general and will offer to bump up his deal and remove the release clause, to tie him down on a new deal until 2024.

The presence of Liverpool last weekend might speed up the process and it puts pressure on the Nerazzurri to act quickly to prevent the player from moving to the Premier League on a bargain deal.
