Fabio Liverani will be appointed Genoa Coach next week and insists experience isn’t an issue. “I’ve been in football for 25 years.”

The former Palermo, Lazio” data-scaytid=”6″>Lazio and Perugia midfielder is currently the Coach of the Primavera youth team, but President Enrico Preziosi confirmed he’ll be promoted to the senior job.

“My tactical system tends to involve four defenders, either a three or two-man midfielder while in attack I always try to have at least three elements to give us a certain power going forward,” he told Telenord.

“A good Coach is one who is able to deal with the human resources at his disposal, putting them in the best conditions to do well.”

Liverani is only 37 and this will be his first senior coaching job, going straight onto the bench of the oldest club in Serie A.

“I’ve been in football for 25 years and that has to mean something. Experience? Even in the biggest businesses we see managers who are only 30 or 35 years old.”
