Lecce have lost three on the trot, conceding 15 goals in that time, and their bid to leave the Serie A relegation zone gets no easier as they travel to Juventus tomorrow.

“Juventus live to win every game,” coach Liverani said at a press conference.

“They’ll want to close us down, surprise us and put the game to bed right away. They have the quality and mentality to then manage games.

“They’ll try to play the game on their terms, so we’ll have to be able to cause them some problems.

“We have to make them play horribly, not as they would like.”

Their task is made even harder by the likes of Diego Farias, Gianluca Lapadula, Alessandro Deiola and Cristian Dell’Orco missing out through injury.

“We’re leaving for Turin with 14 outfield players and I believe everyone will get a chance in the next 11 matches.

“The Lecce squad is this. Unfortunately, playing every three days isn’t an advantage for us, especially if you chuck in aches and small injuries.”
