“Fiorentina play by heart and have been constructed to fight for the top of the table,” said Liverani.
“There is clearly a gap in terms of technical quality, but we will seek the victory for us and for our fans at Marassi.
“I want to see aggression, hunger and pace on that field. The lads are eager to put in a great performance for the crowd. Of course, we’ll have to see what Fiorentina allow us to do.”
Liverani was asked to comment on Fiorentina Coach Vincenzo Montella, as they are from the same generation of players.
