Juventus could reportedly bring back Pol Lirola from Sassuolo if a deal to sign Benedikt Howedes proves troublesome.
According to Tuttosport, the option emerged late on Sunday, although “everything remains in the direction” of Howedes.
Lirola joined Sassuolo on a two-year loan last summer and has gone on to establish himself as the Neroverdi’s first-choice right-back.
However, it remains to be seen whether the Old Lady can negotiate his early return after failing to pull off a similar deal for Atalanta’s Leonardo Spinazzola.
