The World Cup-winning tactician has been out of work since leaving his post with Guangzhou Evergrande in February.

Yesterday the 67-year-old suggested he ‘wasn’t ready’ for the Chelsea job should Jose Mourinho be sacked, but he has now shown an eagerness to work again.

He said in an interview with Cadena Cope: “For the time being I haven’t received any offers, but I’m not ruling out a return to the bench, if an interesting proposal arrives then why not?”

"Real Madrid-PSG? Madrid are stronger than the Parisians, Benitez is doing well and (Keylor) Navas is having impressive matches.

“Benzema is an essential element for Real, while Cristiano Ronaldo does very well when he has space on the wing, because he’s not as effective with his back to goal.

"Chelsea? It’s a strange time, this is the same team as last year but since the Belgian goalkeeper Courtois was injured, the Blues have lost security.

“However, I believe they can only get better and be more dangerous.”
