This match was originally meant to start at 14.00 UK time, but was delayed because Genoa goalkeeper Perin tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.

It meant the entire squad and staff had to undergo a new round of swabs before they could make the journey to Naples.

During those extra tests, midfielder Schone also tested positive and was ruled out, along with injured Francesco Cassata, Vittorio Parigini and Stefano Sturaro.

Veteran Federico Marchetti therefore has to go in goal, his first Serie A appearance since September 2018 against Lazio.

Davide Zappacosta and Marko Pjaca scored on their Grifone debuts last week, so the Croatian gets to partner Mattia Destro, and Luca Pellegrini goes straight into the XI after his loan from Juventus.

Napoli make changes from the 2-0 win over Parma, including Alex Meret in goal rather than David Ospina, but the biggest change is upfront.

Osimhen made the difference when he came off the bench at the Stadio Tardini and is promoted to the starting XI, along with a change of tactics from 4-3-3 to 4-2-3-1.

That means Dries Mertens, Hirving Lozano and Lorenzo Insigne fan out behind the 21-year-old Nigerian striker.

Genoa have just one victory in their last 21 Serie A meetings with Napoli, 3-2 in January 2012, and the Partenopei are unbeaten in 16.

Napoli: Meret; Di Lorenzo, Manolas, Koulibaly, Hysaj; Fabian Ruiz, Zielinski; Lozano, Mertens, L Insigne; Osimhen

Genoa: Marchetti; Goldaniga, Masiello, Biraschi; Zappacosta, Lerager, Badelj, Zajc, Pellegrini; Pjaca, Destro
