“Some of Leonardo's technical ideas did not match with those of our President, but there has to be a debate,” confessed Vice-President Galliani on Milan Channel.

“I care for Leo, as he had been with us for many years and did very well last season. It's a pity there were a few misunderstandings and that the rapport is no longer what it was before.

“It's a shame, as Leonardo was a great player for Milan, director, talent scout and Coach.”

Galliani also praised veteran Pippo Inzaghi, whose career could well be over after knee ligament surgery.

“Inzaghi will certainly remain with us next season. He wants to return to the playing field and I am certain he will do it, despite being 38 years of age.

“If we are in the last 16 of the Champions League, then it's thanks to his goals against Real Madrid.”

SuperPippo came off the bench to bag a brace in that 2-2 draw.
