The Brazilian has left Paris Saint-Germain and returned to Italy, where he will live in Milan after marrying Sky Sport Italia journalist Anna Billò last week.

With patron Massimo Moratti confirming they are in close contact and Indonesian investor Erick Thohir about to buy a majority share, a return to Inter seems logical.

“Before doing anything else I want to complete my move to Milan, then I’ll start figuring out what to do,” Leo told Telelombardia.

“I have to re-organise my life and then I’ll return to work. I have an excellent rapport with Moratti, of course, but that doesn’t mean it’s a given I’ll return to Inter.

“Besides, the situation at the club has not yet been defined and many things could still happen.”

While Leonardo worked at Inter as a Coach for six months in 2011, he has said he’s happiest behind the scenes as a director.

He left the Nerazzurri in June 2011 to take over as director of sport at PSG and this is the position he would most likely hold at Inter next season.
