“We are still working and trying to reach an agreement between Leno and Napoli, we’re discussing image rights,” intermediary Fabio Parisi told Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.

“If we do find an agreement, then we’ll pass it to Bayer Leverkusen, trying to lower the release clause to a figure that (President Aurelio) De Laurentiis appreciates.

“It’ll take a few more days, but the negotiations are absolutely still going and we’ll try to close it before the player begins training with Germany for the World Cup.”

The release clause for Leno is €28m and he has also been heavily linked with Liverpool.
