Roma will reportedly turn to Juan Foyth or Mauricio Lemos, with Kostas Manolas likely to leave.

Sporting director Monchi will meet with Zenit St Petersburg today to hear their offer for the Greek defender, and it’s expected he’ll be sold if €30m or more is put on the table.

The Giallorossi are therefore seeking out alternatives, and they’ve already been linked with a €6.5m move for Foyth of Estudiantes.

The 19-year-old seemed to be set to join Atletico Madrid, but the Lupi hope to swoop after the Spanish side’s transfer ban.

Foyth has played just four first-team games for Estudiantes, but was impressive at the Under-20 World Cup for Argentina.

Also on Monchi’s shortlist is Mauricio Lemas, the 21-year-old Uruguayan who currently plays for Las Palmas.

The director tried unsuccessfully to lure him to former club Sevilla, and Barcelona had a bid rejected last summer.

The stumbling block would be the price, as Las Palmas are thought to be asking for €20m with Everton also interested.
