According to La Nazione, the Italo-American billionaire is planning to bring back Rui Costa as sporting director.

The Portuguese played almost 300 times for the Viola between 1994 and 2001, winning two Coppa Italia before being sold to Milan to balance the club’s books.

He has been Benfica’s sporting director since retiring from professional football in 2008.

The newspaper adds there could also be a place in Commisso’s new-look set-up for Batistuta, who was recently linked with the managerial vacancy at Middlesbrough.
