As Inter look elsewhere, Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez is back on the radar for Leeds United and would cost €20m.

The Uruguay international has long been on the way out in Sardinia, but has not been able to so far find a club willing to pay the asking price.

Inter had been interested last summer and again in January, but seem to have taken a step back, especially after he faced domestic abuse accusations in Uruguay over the Christmas break.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, now Leeds United could revive their approach for Nandez, having already been in negotiations for weeks over the summer.

Marcelo Bielsa is seeking reinforcements after a run of poor results in the Premier League saw them plummet down the standings.

Nandez turned 26 last month and has so far this season contributed two assists in 16 Serie A appearances for Cagliari.

He was signed from Boca Juniors in 2019 for €17m and would cost at least €20m to make a move.

  1. Hey Susy,

    Happy new year!

Do you even know how this Nandez guy you are writing about looks like? Because none of the above are him.

Cagliari are going down, so he will be available for much less in summer.
