The Serbian Press claimed on Monday that PSG were closing in on an €80m deal to sign Milinkovic-Savic.

However, La Repubblica and Paris United believe talk of a fee being agreed is premature as they are looking at ways to reduce it.

They state sporting director Leonardo is prepared to send Paredes other way, firming up Le Parisien’s previous report that he did not figure in the French giants’ plans for next season.

PSG splashed out €40m on the 24-year-old in January, and he went on to play 16 times in Ligue 1, helping his side win yet another title.

On the other hand, the Argentine is considered to have been a disappointment, although he would have to take a pay cut to join the Aquile.

Lazio, for their part, are also working on deals for Malaga winger Jony Rodriguez and FC Copenhagen defender Denis Vavro.
