Daniele Longo reports that Lazio have submitted a concrete offer for Piotr Zielinski, who only has 12 months left on his contract with Napoli.

The Biancocelesti need to pick up some midfield reinforcements this summer following the €42m sale of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to Al-Hilal, a departure that severely impacts the options available to Maurizio Sarri.

Zielinski only has a year left on his contract with Napoli and renewal talks have not progressed, with the club only willing to offer him a new deal with a lower salary than his current agreement.

As reported by Longo via Calciomercato.com, Lazio have presented an offer to Napoli for Zielinski, worth around €18m.

This is far below the requests of Aurelio De Laurentiis, who wants €30m for the Polish midfielder. Despite the gap between offer and request, talks are progressing positively and Lazio are confident a deal can be agreed.

Zielinski would be willing to make the move to the Biancocelesti and has put offers from Saudi Arabia on hold for now. His initial talks with Sarri were positive but no contract terms have been agreed yet.
