New Lazio signinig Filip Djordjevic says he received many offers but believes he has made the right decision to join the Biancocelesti.
The 26-year-old has joined the Stadio Olimpico outfit from French outfit Nantes, where he spent six seasons.
“I have had a fantastic impression, now I’ve got four important years in Rome and I am expecting an important season, better than the last one,” Djordjevic said at a Press conference.
“I want to show everyone my quality and I am happy to be here. I will also do all I can to learn Italian soon, as I did with French.
“I had a lot of opportunities but, with my agent Lucci, we decided and I think it is the right club for me. I will have the chance to play and score.
“I am studying Lazio in order to work out what I can bring and what I can give. It’s difficult to say what impact I can have, I have never played in Italy.”
The Serbian international was then asked about his targets for the upcoming season and his chance to play alongside Miroslav Klose.
“I will do everything I can to get into Europe with Lazio. It will be difficult for the club after a difficult season.
“I don’t have a specific goal target, it depends on the team. I just want to have a good season. Now I’m thinking about preparing, training, working and avoiding injury.
“The pressure doesn’t scare me, I want to show what I can do. The fans are more passionate but I am very motivated.”
