There are still a few doubts for Maurizio Sarri going into the Champions League showdown with Feyenoord, but the bad news is that fans are not flocking to attend.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico on Tuesday at 20.00 GMT.

This is a must-win match for qualification into the Round of 16, especially after they suffered a 3-1 defeat in Rotterdam a fortnight ago.

It remains a very tight group, as Feyenoord are top on six points, followed by Atletico Madrid on five, Lazio four and Celtic one.

The Feyenoord supporters are banned from attending due to previous trouble, so Sarri had appealed in his interviews after the 2-0 Serie A defeat to Bologna for the fans to make the Olimpico ‘an inferno’ for the Dutch side.

However, Il Tempo newspaper reports that so far only 9,000 tickets have been sold, along with the 22,000 season ticket holders.

Even with a late surge of purchases, they still do not expect to even reach 40,000 spectators.

It is perhaps also because the Rome Derby is coming up in Serie A next weekend and fans are more focused on that appointment than the Champions League.

Nicolò Casale is out injured, while there remain doubts around Adam Marusic, who was rested today after he went off against Bologna with a bruised ankle.

If he is not fully recovered, then Manuel Lazzari or Luca Pellegrini could step in.

Felipe Anderson and Mattia Zaccagni seem guaranteed to start, with Ciro Immobile pushing to replace Taty Castellanos in the centre.

The major doubts are in midfield, though so far Sarri has always picked Daichi Kamada, Matias Vecino and Luis Alberto in the Champions League.
