According to Il Corriere della Sera, Lazio have opened preliminary talks with the agent of Tottenham Hotspur’s goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini, who is expected to return to Atalanta at the end of the season.

Maurizio Sarri will be looking for a new goalkeeper for Lazio in 2022-23. Pepe Reina has slipped down the Tuscan’s pecking order, while Thomas Strakosha sees his contract expire at the end of the season.

According to Il Corriere della Sera, Tottenham’s Pierluigi Gollini is Lazio’s No.1 target for the summer. The Italy shot-stopped moved to North London on loan with an option to buy for €13m but has not yet played a game in the Premier League and Fabio Paratici is unlikely to make his move permanent at the end of the season.

Gollini is destined to return to Atalanta, but he won’t remain in Bergamo because La Dea signed Juan Musso last summer and also due to his bad rapport with Gian Piero Gasperini. Atalanta will be looking for a sale in the region of €10m and according to the report, Igli Tare has already made contact with the player’s agent Beppe Riso.

Chelsea’s Kepa Arrizabalaga and Napoli‘s David Ospina have also been linked with a move to Lazio, but Gollini seems to have become their main target for the summer.
