Lazio are looking at Trabzonspor winger Yusuf Erdogan as the heir to Antonio Candreva.
It has been widely reported that Candreva will be sold this summer with the likes of Inter and Juventus ready to swoop.
According to Turkish site Fanatik, Lazio director of sport Igli Tare has presented an offer to Trabzonspor.
The initial bid is worth €4.5m for the 23-year-old left-sided attacking winger.
He has scored five goals in 35 competitive games this season, also providing an assist.
