With Emerson Palmieri heading to West Ham, Lazio have switched focus to Tottenham left back Sergio Reguilon, reports suggest.

The Biancocelesti have had a strong summer transfer window so far, picking up eight new players to revitalise and reinforcement Maurizio Sarri’s squad in Rome, but there is still one clear weak spot left in the squad. Lazio’s current left back incumbents are Elseid Hysaj and Adam Marusic; the former was entirely unconvincing last season and the latter has been adapted to the role.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Lazio had their sights set on Emerson for months but ultimately failed to agree a deal with Chelsea, forcing them to switch focus onto other targets. Now the Biancocelesti are considering a move for Reguilon, who seems to be on the way out of Tottenham.

Atalanta have also registered their interest in Reguilon, who has failed to convince Antonio Conte in North London. The Spaniard’s contract expires with Spurs in 2025 and he has an estimated market value of around €25m.

  1. many liked this guy at tottenham- but unfortunately wasnt suited to the stronger players-getting pushed around, very good going forward, not the best in defence. But still believe he will be a good fit for lazio
