Lazio are reportedly planning an all-Kosovar assault for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi and Standard Liege defender Mergim Vojvoda.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Lazio have a long-standing interest in Muriqi and are considering him as an alternative to Real Zaragoza’s Luis Suarez.
“I’m at the biggest club in Turkey, I have three years left on my contract and I don’t want to talk about the market,” he recently told the Turkish press, as per the newspaper.
“I’m happy here, but it’s up to the club. It’s all in their hands.”
The 26-year-old only joined Fenerbahce last summer and had scored 13 league goals in 25 games before the coronavirus lockdown.
However, La Gazzetta warns he is valued at €20m and that the Aquile face strong competition for his signature.
Elsewhere, the publication claims sporting director Igli Tare could swoop for Vojvoda if Adam Marusic joins Paris Saint-Germain.
One year younger than Muriqi, the right-back has four assists in 30 games for Standard this season and has an asking price of €7m.
