Serie A will officially resume on the weekend of June 20-21 with four games, including AtalantaSassuolo and InterSampdoria.

As expected, the Italian top flight will restart from the 25th matchday, which was never completed in March due to the coronavirus lockdown.

“Lega Serie A held an assembly meeting today in the presence of all 20 clubs via conference call,” read an official statement.

As expected, the Italian top flight will restart from the 25th matchday, which was never completed in March due to the coronavirus lockdown.

“Lega Serie A held an assembly meeting today in the presence of all 20 clubs via conference call,” read an official statement.

“The clubs welcomed the green light to the resumption of Serie A TIM, as announced yesterday by Minister Spadafora, and unanimously voted for contesting the four postponed games on the 25th matchday (Atalanta-Sassuolo, VeronaCagliari, Inter-Sampdoria and Torino-Parma) on the weekend of June 20-21 and the scheduling of the 27th matchday, starting from Monday June 22.”

The statement also confirmed the Coppa Italia, which is midway through the semi-final stage, would be concluded before the top flight restarted.

“Furthermore, in response to the wishes of Minister Spadafora, sporting activity in the 2019-2020 season will resume immediately with the Coppa Italia, with its Final scheduled for June 17.

“Kick-off dates and times will be announced by Lega Serie A in the next few days.”
