Lazio have reportedly made initial contact with Massimiliano Allegri over the possibility of him coming in as Coach.

The Aquile are speculated to be considering their options on the bench for next season, ahead of a meeting between current boss Edy Reja and President Claudio Lotito.

Whilst initial suggestions have been that if Reja were to leave that primavera boss Simone Inzaghi would be promoted, the Gazzetta dello Sport say that Allegri’s name has come into consideration.

It is reported that the capital outfit have already made initial contact with the 46-year-old, who was sacked in January from his post at Milan.

Lotito is believed set to soon meet with sporting director Igli Tare to better understand the feasibility of such a move.

Allegri has apparently indicated his openness to a potential deal, but is said to be pushing for a three year contract paying €2.5m a season, and for technical guarantees including confirmation of Antonio Candreva and Senad Lulic for next term, and the signing of Davide Astori.
