Milan are reported as having ‘practically tied up’ deals for Paris Saint-Germain duo Alex and Jeremy Menez.

The Rossoneri have been linked in recent weeks with a move for centre-back Alex, who is out of contract this summer at PSG and expected to leave the French capital.

Meanwhile, speculation yesterday was that Menez had met with prospective new Coach Pippo Inzaghi to also discuss a possible move to San Siro, with the 27-year-old also available on a Bosman move.

The Gazzetta dello Sport today indicate that deals for both players are ‘practically tied up’, with a meeting due with Alex’s representative in the coming days to negotiate a two-year deal.

Menez is reportedly set to be handed a three-year contract, worth €2m a year, and it is seen that both deals just need to formalised with visits to club headquarters in the short future.

Menez’s agent has confirmed to French media that talks with Inzaghi were held and may have proven key to the winger’s imminent decision.

“Jeremy was very sensitive to the interest of Milan and the fact that the club have moved so quickly,” Jean-Pierre Bernes has told France Football.

“Talking with the Coach was very important, especially since Jeremy is an emotional guy. He appreciates that they have shown that they want him.

“The interest is shared between the two parties and within two or three days he will give his answer.”
