Lazio are closing in on Real Madrid forward Borja Mayoral after securing a top four finish, but are haggling over the cost of the operation.
According to the Corriere dello Sport newspaper, a meeting is expected on Monday in Rome with the player’s agent and entourage.
The 23-year-old striker seems enthusiastic about the transfer, and the five-year contract worth €1.7m per season.
However, Real Madrid want €13m to sell Mayoral, whereas the offer so far from Lazio is just €8m plus another €2m in performance-related bonuses.
