Napoli have reportedly made their first offer for Sassuolo winger Jeremie Boga, proposing €25m plus Amin Younes, but the asking price is €40m.

The 23-year-old Ivorian came up through the Chelsea academy, but was purchased outright by Sassuolo after an initial co-ownership deal.

He has been a sensation this season, scoring 11 goals and providing four assists in 34 Serie A games.

Although Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta are also interested, Napoli remain the absolute favourites to sign Boga this summer.

According to Sportitalia, CalcioNapoli24, the Corriere del Mezzogiorno and more, a meeting was held between the two clubs, as well as Napoli director of sport Cristiano Giuntoli and Boga’s agent.

The asking price is €40m, which can include Younes as part of the deal, but the clubs currently disagree over Napoli’s €15m valuation of Younes.

As for Boga, he’s ready to agree a five-year contract worth €1.8m per year plus bonuses.
