Vedat Muriqi has scored the same amount of goals in four games with Mallorca as he did in 49 matches for Lazio, raising many questions about his time in Rome.

The 27-year-old Kosovan forward joined the Spanish side on a six-moan loan deal with an estimated €8m buy option attached last month, having failed to convince coach Maurizio Sarri in the first half of this season.

Muriqi failed to justify his €20m price tag following his move to Lazio in 2020. In 49 appearances across two seasons under both Simone Inzaghi and Sarri, he only scored twice, both coming against Atalanta. It’s clear that his confidence was completely depleted and consistent boos in the Stadio Olimpico probably didn’t help.

Lazio were desperate to be rid of Muriqi last month, but now he’s trying to make them regret that. He’s scored twice in three La Liga appearances for Mallorca so far and he shows no signs of slowing down, for now.

  1. LOL you cannot compare Spanish defences with Serie A.

Why do you even bother posting about him? Nothing to do with Italian Football any more.
