Lazio will reportedly stipulate two requirements for Edy Reja to continue as Coach, or likely bring in Simone Inzaghi as his replacement.

The Aquile brought back Reja as their Coach at the turn of the year following Vladimir Petkovic’s exit to take over the Switzerland national team.

Whilst results improved and Europa League qualification was only narrowly missed out on, speculation has grown since the season’s conclusion over the 68-year-old’s future beyond this summer.

La Repubblica believe that a meeting next Monday has been set between Reja and club President Claudio Lotito, and that this will resolve the situation one way or another.

It is speculated that Lotito will request two specific changes of the Coach – that the team introduce a more attacking style of play and that the senior side is better aligned with the youth side.

If Reja and Lotito cannot find a solution to these requests together, then it is reported that the tactician will be removed and a replacement brought in.

Whilst rumours of late have suggested interest in Stefano Pioli and Roberto Donadoni, the man believed to be in pole position to replace Reja is Simone Inzaghi.

The retired striker has impressed with early work with the club’s Primavera side that Lotito wants increased emphasis on.

Inzaghi, whose brother Pippo is all but confirmed to take over at Milan, is seen as held in high esteem by both Lotito and sporting director Igli Tare.
